Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library Friends of the Library The Friends of the Library (FOL) are a major contributor to the daily operation of the Cashiers Community Library in monetary and volunteer time donations. The Friends of the Library are the force behind most of the adult programming for the Library. The FOL has raised money through their public book sales with the last sale netting over $5000 as well as online internet book sales of rarer or valuable books. The Friends work tirelessly to assist the Library in any way they can with a dinner honoring the Library volunteers, a duplicate bridge tournament, and hours spent setting up and hosting programs. The Friends meet monthly and are always seeking new approaches to increase library fundraising and community recognition. Membership in the FOL comes in several sponsor levels, funds from which go toward an annual commitment to the Library's operating budget.
