Art Reception with Josh Franks

The Eccentric Gemini Presents “The Three-In-One Art Show” A collection of artwork, photography and literature by western North Carolina native Josh Franks. The event will take place at the Macon County Public Library on March 4th, 2017, from 1pm until 4 pm. The art display will also remain there until the end of the month. The event is free and everyone is welcome. “As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been rather interested in the arts and the various styles that I admired from my childhood idols, such as Bob Ross, Salvador Dali and H.R. Giger. My love for literature also started as a young child as well, whenever my aunt would read me Stephen King books. It was later in my life, whenever I discovered my hidden talent and soon took to painting and writing by the time that I was in my early teens. In recent years, I’ve become quite fond of doing photography, and I use these skills while I’m traveling all over the place. Nevertheless, after all these years I can look back and see how that my art and literature has been cherished by people all over the world. In September, 2016, I got a piece of my inkblot artwork put on permanent display in the world-famous Mothman Museum in the historical town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. And so, I guess you could say that my work is everywhere, for I’ve sold my books as far away as Europe and the United Kingdom, and I was also contacted by another artist in Argentina that liked my work online. It’s such a great feeling to know there’s people out there who still enjoy the beautiful aspects of both creative art and literature.” Josh Franks
