WordPress, Part 2 will build on instruction from the first class by focusing on how to embellish your WordPress.com blog. We will learn how to apply a different theme from the wide selection offered for free. We will learn how to insert links to other pages and websites on the internet. We will learn how to style text and to wrap text around images in the text body to create a pleasing flow. We will also learn how to use the “Comments” section of the program. And, we will examine some of the other tools available on the Dashboard section of the workspace. These free classes are limited to the first 10 people who sign up, as space is limited. To register, please visit the Reference Desk or call 524-3600. Participants in Part 2 need to have attended WordPress, Part 1 (April 4) or have created a WordPress.com account. Please bring with you the login information for your WordPress account as well as the login information to access your email, as they will be necessary for class activities. Class participants must have basic computer knowledge, such as keyboard and mouse skills. A WordPress Open Lab can be scheduled later for class participants who want to continue working on their blogs and WordPress skills in the computer lab, with library staff available to assist on a limited basis.
