Get Eclipsed with Randi Neff

The Jackson County Public Library is hosting a Solar Eclipse informational session on August 15 at 6 PM in the Community Room.
The Library is partnering with Randi Neff, WNCnext, and Morehead Planetarium to present the ultimate solar eclipse program. NASA-certified solar glasses will be given away free at this event. Dr. Amy Fagan (lunar geologist) & Dr. Enrique Gomez (physicist) from WCU will also be on hand for the presentation, and for a Q&A afterwards. They will be talking about the history of past solar eclipses, the science behind how solar eclipses work, and how to safely and knowledgeably enjoy the eclipse on August 17th.

This program is free and open to the public. The event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Jackson County Public Library. For more information, please call the library at (828) 586-2016. The Jackson County Public Library is a member of Fontana Regional Library (www.fontanalib.org).
