  • Fontana Regional Library buildings are currently closed for coronavirus prevention. Library Visits by Appointment and Curbside pickup service is available. Please call your local library for more information.

All services at Marianna Black Library are currently unavailable until fire damage is repaired.
All Fontana Regional Library locations in Macon, Jackson, and Swain Counties are offering to forgive most overdue fines until June 30 for any patrons who make the request.

"We know how difficult the COVID-19 crisis has been for our patrons, and we want to help as many people as possible get their library accounts back in good standing," said Regional Library Director Karen Wallace. Anyone who would like to help the library financially can opt to pay their overdues or make a separate contribution.

Overdue fines for books, DVDs, audiobooks, and other materials that have been returned can be forgiven, but not the fees to replace never-returned or damaged items. Also, collection agency fees cannot be forgiven.

"Even if you have something that has been overdue for years, go ahead and bring it back in before June 30 and ask us to check your account. We can help," says Wallace.

Please call any Fontana Regional Library location to find out if there are any fines on your account, and ask that they be forgiven. For more information, call your local library.
