Anne Fitten Glenn-- Book Release Western North Carolina- A Mountain Brew History
Award-winning author Anne Fitten Glenn has been writing about and working in the beer business on and off since the 1990s. She pens a regular 'Mountain Brews' article for Edible Asheville and has written for numerous other publications, including All About Beer, Smoky Mountain Living, Asheville Citizen-Times, and CraftBeer.com. She served on the Asheville Brewers Alliance Board of Directors for almost five years and was a founding organizer of Asheville Beer Week. The History Press published her first beer book, Asheville Beer: An Intoxicating History of Mountain Brewing, in 2012. Western North Carolinians may remember her 'Edgy Mama' and 'Brewgasm' columns, which ran for several years in Mountain Xpress.
We are excited to have Anne Fitten Glenn come out and be a part of our first annual Libraries on Tap brewing scavenger hunt. She will be discussing the history of beer and brewing on our beautiful Western North Carolina community as well as her newest book. This is a free library event.
Anne Fitten Glenn will have books for sale at the event.
Remember to get your Libraries on Tap - a brewing scavenger hunt passport and collect stamps to get beer-inspired prizes. Please call 586-2016 for more information.
