Venezuelan Cooking & Culture Series With Anna Bello

In January of this year, Anna Bello hosted a class on Venezuelan Cooking & Culture. Join us this May as Anna guides the group through more wonderful recipes while educating us on the current events and culture of Venezuela. Registration is required. May 2nd - 'La Reina: Beauty & Oil' - Join us making Venezuela's most famous arepa filling, la reina pepiada ('the curvy queen') and dive deep into Venezuela's oil economy 
  May 16th - 'Lost in the Sauce: Guasaca y Cachapas' - Join us while we make Venezuela's 'guacamole' - guasaca to go with cachapas, a sweet/savory corn pancake with fresh cheese (traditional street food) and discuss US/Russia/China relations with Venezuela

May 30th - 'Los Papas de Los Helados: A Legacy of Dictatorship' - Honoring the national dish of Venezuela, Pabellón Criollo (stewed beef w/ spices, sweet plantains, rice and black beans), while acknowledging the history of authoritarian rule and it's influence in the culture.
