In partnership with Wells Fargo, the Jackson County Public Library is hosting a series of banking seminars designed to help the public with banking and money managing techniques. These seminars are free of charge.
The first seminar will be on Tuesday July 12th at 6:30 PM in the Community Room. The Basics of Banking will introduce participants to basic banking concepts, such as types of financial institutions— banks, credit unions, and savings institutions, the different accounts they can open to help save money, use money to pay for day-to-day expenses, or even save for long-term goals. Finally, this topic will teach participants how to use and manage their accounts once they’re opened and also the finer details of using an ATM with their new debit or ATM card.
