A young historian, Felipe Montero, accepts a position editing the memoirs of General Llorente for the elderly widow, Consuelo. Working at her home, Felipe meets and falls in love with Consuelo's beautiful young niece, Aura. But things are not as they appear and Felipe soon discovers the truth behind Consuelo's facination with medicinal plants and youth.
