As a 14-year-old determined to become a librarian, Pekoll could hardly anticipate the challenges that would come her way when she became one and posted booklists and book challenges. She aims to provide a resource for librarians that aids them when issues and confrontations arise that are outside the media, databases, exhibits, artworks, programs, readers' advisory services and booklists. She cites these types of challenges as important, in that, they can often be misunderstood and unreported, and librarians need to know about them so they can deploy resources in order to solve problems.
