As with all gamefish, there is a real art to catching crappie and few understand this species as well as Bill Dance, America's favorite television fisherman and avid crappie enthusiast. Crappie know no season... they can be caught 12 months of the year... in water from 6 inches to 60 feet... in water ranging from spring clear to muddy... they will bite in water temperatures from 40 to 90 degrees under every weather condition... and this is one fish that can be caught more ways than you can imagine... it does not discriminate between anglers paddling a johnboat and those in ultra-sleek bass boats.
