A woman is found in Copenhagen, killed with a shot through her left eye and one of her fingers cut off. Hours later, two more bodies are found similarly mutilated. Solving these killings is the task of the newly formed Joint Investigation Team, a small, mobile cross-border police unit dedicated to fighting international organized crime. Danish detective Harald Bjorn joins forces with German agent Jackie Mueller and Belgian officer Alicia Verbeek to crack the case.
