Under currents

Within the walls of a tasteful perfectly kept house in North Carolina Zane Bigelow feels like a prisoner of war. People view his parents as a successful surgeon and his stylish wife but Zane and his sister know that something is terribly wrong. As his father's violent rages and his mother's complicity become more oppressive Zane yearns to escape. When the cracks in the facade finally shatter Zane realizes that some people will face painful truths. As he matures and builds a new kind of family he recognizes that while the darkness of his past shadows him it also shows him how good can triumph and provides him with the strength to defend himself and his loved ones.
