The way I see it
Gates, David
Genre:
David Gates was born in a small Appalachian community in 1961. He was healthy except for one thing: he was rapidly losing his eyesight. The region was poor and isolated. Neither of David's parents went past the eighth grade. The rural school he attended had neither the will nor the means to prepare David for life. Opportunities were scarce and David's future was not bright. As the years passed and the darkness grdually fell around him David looked inward for any light he could find. Amidst the hopelessness pain and frustration he found his talents. He dicovered his work ethic. He discovered both his intelligence and his determination. Eventually. David realized that he could succeed. In facts he knew that he would succeed.
