Far From Home: An Art Exhibit by Jessie Butner

Jessie is a mixed media artist from Western North Carolina. She graduated from the David Orr Belcher College of Fine and Performing Arts with a concentration in Painting and Drawing in 2023. Jessie's recent work explores themes of identity and the stigmatization of mental health and substance abuse. Jessie creates autobiographical artwork often depicting figurative scenes of her memories through a variety of mediums and processes.
