*Beginners’ Lessons start at 6:30.

Great live music by local musicians and a dance-caller!
Lesson at 6:30pm. Dance 7-9pm.
Beginners are welcome! Experienced dancers help the beginners get started. No need to bring a partner, but you are welcome to do so. Children over age 8 who are game to participate may also attend.

Each of the dances will be taught by a caller who calls out the moves in time to cue the dancers. Many of the moves may be familiar to you, as contra dancing is similar to square dancing. A few square dances, circle dances, and fun crazy family dances may be thrown into the mix, too!
Contra Dance every 1st Saturday of the month, year-round at the Library in Franklin.
Bring a closed water container and a snack if you choose. Smooth-soled shoes work best on the Library's wonderful wood floor. Please do not wear perfume or scents to the dances.
