Nature Night at the Pond

The Oconee Bell Chapter of the NC Native Plant Society invites the community to attend the August Nature Night at the Pond. For those who might soon be refreshing your landscaping, don't forget about your trees and shrubs! A talk and panel discussion about trees and planting for disaster management. To reduce risk of wildfires, consider options like hardwood mulch or well-watered ground covers.

Also learn about trees when Ranger Jason O'Neal and Kathleen Stratton of the N.C. Forest Service will share what they’re noticing about trees in our landscapes and forests, post Helene.
