The Jackson County Public Library and Balsam Mountain Trust will host the next of the Southern Appalachian Nature Talk Series on Thursday, April 23rd at 6pm. The talk will be in the Community Room of the Jackson County Public Library. Ever wondered what the name of a Wildflower was that you saw on your last hike? Wish that you knew more about the plants that grow around you? Want to be more connected to Nature and to the places and Plants all around you? Come celebrate the beautiful diversity of Native Wildflowers found growing all around us with Adam Bigelow of Bigelow's Botanical Excursions. Learn the names and hear the stories of the plants that connect these flowers to each other, to the history of both Appalachian Settlers and the Cherokee whose land we are on, to us in the modern world, and to the ecosystem which connects us all. A virtual walk through the season told with photographs, stories and humor.
