May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, so start your summer off right by learning how you can protect yourself throughout the summer.

With over 5 million cases diagnosed in the United States each year, skin cancer is America’s most common cancer. Fortunately, skin cancer is also one of the most preventable cancers.

• First, check your skin from head to toe. Look for anything new, changing or unusual.
