Sylva -- On the three Mondays in September (after Labor Day) from 6-7 PM:

the Jackson County Public Library is presenting a three-part series of lectures/discussions on Ancient Religions led by retired professor Bucky Dann. This series will be in the Community Room, is free, and requires no registration. These three programs will be the first in a twice-yearly set of lectures covering many of the world's religions.

This month's lectures will be on the beginnings of religion, Animism, and early Egyptian religion.
