Join Donna Glee Williams, author of 'The Night Field,' as she reads from and signs copies of her new novel. She will be accompanied by composer and musician Lynn Morgan Rosser, who will perform a song-cycle based on the novel. This free event will be Thursday, October 12th, at 7pm at the Marianna Black Library, in downtown Bryson City.

Pushcart Prize-nominee Donna Glee Williams, author of the eco-fantasy 'The Night Field' (Mobius, 2023), 'Dreamers' (Edge, 2016), and 'The Braided Path' (Edge, 2014), led seminars for The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching in Cullowhee for 21 years, and loves to visit classrooms and book clubs. The imagined societies in her fiction owe a lot to years of wayfaring across four continents. These days, she mostly walks in the woods, writes, and leads dream-groups in her cabin in near the Parkway.

Lynn Morgan Rosser is a vocalist, songwriter, writer, mother of two and the former long-time director of the Jubilee! Singers in the Jubilee! Community of Asheville. With her husband Chris Rosser (singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist & producer) as the producer, she has written and recorded an EP titled Songs for the Night Field. It is a song-cycle based on the novel The Night Field by Donna Glee Williams. She has developed a podcast, 'Vita COLITUR: Creating Our Lives Is The Ultimate (A)Rt,' featuring local artists and creatives with themed episodes on cultivating a creative life, which will begin airing in late Fall of 2023.
