Final Android Users Group - September 4th at 3PM
Final Android Users Group – September 4th at 3PM in the Conference Room
This Final Android Users Group meeting will address any issues you may have with your Android phone or
apps, followed by a discussion of useful and fun AI apps for both your phone and PC;
given the rapid growth in AI applications. We will focus on a few key examples and their
practical applications, including the seamless integration of AI into existing apps. This will be the final AUG, but we have a wonderful new Smartphone Starters Group (Android & iPhone) program, facilitated by Jance Gibson starting on October 2nd.
Below, please find a letter from Roger and Lisa:
Farewell to the Android Users Group
Dear Friends,
Since September 2017, the Android Users Group has been a place to learn, share, and have fun
together as we navigate the ever-changing world of smartphones and technology. Even when the
pandemic slowed things down, we carried on with Zoom meetings, keeping the spirit of AUG alive.
Along the way, we’ve been fortunate to have the support of some wonderful people. Lisa Bacon was
always ready to lend a hand, often providing one-on-one help with tricky problems. Laura Chapman
coordinated our efforts faithfully, sending out meeting reminders, scheduling our room, and
sweetening our gatherings with candy. Their contributions made AUG feel less like a tech group and
more like a circle of friends.
Although our regular AUG meetings are coming to an end, the spirit of helping one another continues.
Lisa and Roger Bacon will still be available for technical support with Android phones and Windows
PCs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that starting October 2, 2025, at 2:00 pm, Jance Gibson will
host a new combined group for both Android and iPhone users. This joint smartphone group will bring
together AUG and iPUG members for even more lively conversations, tips, and support.
Thank you to each of you who made this group such a warm, helpful, and enjoyable community. It
has been a true pleasure to share this journey with you.
With gratitude and friendship,
Roger Bacon and Lisa Bacon
