Join Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust and Albert-Carlton Cashiers Community Library for a free wildcraft wreathmaking workshop! The wreaths will be built using wildcrafted materials found on HC Land Trust properties. Naturally, each wreath will be a personal expression of participants’ creativity and artistic sensibilities. Wildcrafting, or the ethical foraging of natural materials, has gained popularity over the last 40 years. The wreath workshop may feature grape vines, honeysuckle, or other pliable foraged vines; evergreens like juniper, cedar, spruce, hemlock; ac- cent greenery (twigs, dogwood, branches full of hawthorn or wintergreen berries, or holly); and foraged accessories like pinecones, dead flower heads, dead grasses, dried herbs. Hot cocoa, holiday snacks, and materials will be provided. Please bring any non-natural items that you may want, such as ribbons, bells, and other adornments. Limited space available. Please email hope@hcltnc.org to sign up!
