In a partnership with Mountain Projects, Inc., the Marianna Black library in Bryson City will host Preventing, Recognizing & Responding to Opioid Overdose on Thursday, November 16th, at 4:00 PM.

This training, with training with Mountain Strong WNC, Substance Misuse Prevention experts, focused on how to save lives from opioid overdose. Participants will learn to identify what an opioid overdose is and how to respond with training in how to administer Noloxone (Narcan). North Carolina Good Samaritan laws will also be discussed. Handouts, lockboxes and naloxone will be available for each participant.
