NCWN Regional Representative Matt Salerno will host a monthly writing workshop at the Jackson County Public Library on Thursday, May 28th at 6pm. This event is free and open to the public, not just members of the NC Writers' Network. The goal of these meetings is to provide a welcoming space for feedback on writing and to create a community of writers. The Jackson County Public Library will host the next VAYA Health meeting on Tuesday, May 26th at 1:30pm. The meeting will be in the Conference Room. With focus on maintaining brain health as we age, participants will learn about normal cognitive aging, risk factors for decline, and strategies to support brain health through lifestyle choices like nutrition, exercise, and mental stimulation.
