Macon County Public Library Children’s Department

Summer is here! We are so excited for you to sign up for our Summer Learning Program! Registration begins May 19th and will last until July 30th. The theme for this summer is All Together Now. We will have many different programs for children to enjoy throughout the summer to encourage acts of kindness, cooperation, and unity. We will be having family music concerts with Sonia Brooks in the living room of the library. Balsam Mountain Trust will be returning with some of their critter friends to teach us how to respect and live with nature. Patrick Brannon will be returning to teach us more about how animals work together in nature and communicate with one another. We will have special guests such as the Mini Acts of Kindness miniature ponies and Little Rascals Petting Zoo with their animal friends. Our Foam Bubble Brigade party sponsored by John Hamlin State Farm will be returning in July and our program will end with a special concert by Big, Bang, Boom. Our calendar is full of many other events so check it out here or come by the children's department at the Macon County Public Library to pick up a copy.

Registrations begin on May 19th. You can register online at http://maconcountylibrary.readsquared.com or register at the Children’s desk at MCPL.

Macon County Public Library Teens Summer Program

This summer our teen programs are focused on making friends in a fun and laid back environment. This includes finding teens who share your interest like gaming, anime or creating art in a collaborative way. And the best part? Most of our teen programs are year-round after school so the party doesn’t end when fall begins.
